Operation Christmas Child. Our church will be collecting and sending shoe boxes again this year. We have had a donation of many items to fill shoe boxes. Some items that we still need are hair accessories, small cars or dolls, notebooks or paper, socks, fishing line and hooks, and jewelry. Boxes need to be delivered to drop off locations between November 18th and 24th. Contact Karen Young for additional information.
Christmas Giving Tree. Our church will be providing Christmas gifts for a family of four at Pando Aspen Grove. A tree will be in the foyer with gift tags. Take a tag or two, purchase gifts and bring them to church by Sunday December 15th. In addition we will be collecting socks for Pando Aspen Grove residents. Tree will be available Sunday November 17th. Contact Karen Young or Becky Fellows for additional information .

Shepherd's Storehouse Food Pantry is usually open on the 2nd and 4th Monday each month. For the next two months we will only be open once each month. We will be closed on November 11 (Veterans Day) and December 23rd. Gleaners food bank will be closed on these days so we are not able to pick up food. Our open days for November and December are November 25th and December 9th. Bible Study meets from 4:30 to 5:15 pm. Food pantry runs from 5:30 until 7:30. Donations of food and hygiene products are always welcome. We have had an increase in people at our pantry as a result our pantry is looking pretty bare. If you would like to donate food items, check out the Amazon link. Non perishable food can also be dropped off in the church foyer. If you would like to volunteer to work in the pantry, contact Becky Fellows or Karen Young.
LBOA and Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday November 26th. Finance at 6 pm and LBOA at 7 pm.
Decorate with Us. On Saturday November 30th at 10 am we will be decorating our Church for Christmas. Come help us get ready for Christmas.
Celebrate Recovery happens every Sunday night from 6 to 8 pm in the Worship Center. This is a great place to find healing for hurts, habits and hang-ups. Check out the information table in the foyer or contact Pat and Becky Fellows for additional information.
Join us for Prayer Meeting every Thursday evening at 6:30 in the Worship Center as we pray for our church and each other.
From the Pastor’s Desk:
Ritter Family,
As we step into the month of November, we are reminded of the beauty of change that this season brings. The leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter, and we find ourselves reflecting on the many blessings in our lives.
This month, we celebrate Thanksgiving—a time to pause, reflect, and give thanks for all that God has provided. In our busy lives, it’s easy to overlook the small joys and the acts of kindness that surround us. I encourage each of you to take time to express gratitude, not only in your prayers but also through your actions. Consider reaching out to someone who may need a kind word or a helping hand. You could even invite them to our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, November 23rd.
As we prepare for the Advent season ahead, let us also look forward with hope and anticipation. This is a time for us to gather in fellowship, deepen our faith, and support one another. I invite you to join us for our upcoming church events, where we can share our stories, our prayers, and our gratitude together.
May this November fill your hearts with peace and your homes with joy. Let us continue to be a light in our community, sharing the love of Christ in all that we do.
Blessings to you and your families,
Pastor Steven Bales
