Happy New Year!
Our Annual Society Meeting is scheduled for Sunday January 19th right after Morning Worship. This is our church business meeting to elect church leaders and approve our budget for the coming year. Please plan to join us for this important meeting.
Ladies' Bible Study will meet on Tuesday January 7th and 21st 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We are beginning a study of Hebrews. We will be using the study book Better by Jen Wilkins. Contact Karen Young for questions or a study book.
Celebrate Recovery happens every Sunday night from 6 to 8 pm in the Worship Center. This is a great place to find healing for hurts, habits and hang-ups. Check out the information table in the foyer or contact Pat and Becky Fellows for additional information.
Join us for Prayer Meeting every Thursday evening at 6:30 in the Worship Center as we pray for our church and each other.
Shepherd's Storehouse Food Pantry is open on the 2nd and 4th Monday each month. We will be open on January 13th and January 27th. Bible Study meets from 4:30 to 5:15 pm. Food pantry runs from 5:30 until 7:30. Donations of food and hygiene products are always welcome. We have had an increase in people at our pantry as a result our pantry is looking pretty bare. If you would like to donate food items, check out the Amazon link. Non perishable food can also be dropped off in the church foyer. We now have clothes and household items available for our clients. If you would like to volunteer to work in the pantry, contact Becky Fellows or Karen Young.
Golden Agers (and those who like lunch) will be going to lunch on Friday January 17th at 1 pm. We are having lunch at Tony D's located at 5918 Dragon Dr New Palestine zip 46143. Restaurant is located behind the Needlers grocery on US 52. Contact Joyce Young for additional information.
LBOA and Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday January 28th. Finance at 6 pm and LBOA at 7 pm.
From Pastor's Desk:
Dear Ritter Church Family,
Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on God's faithfulness and share my excitement for the year ahead. The dawn of a new year brings fresh opportunities for growth, renewal, and deepening our relationship with the Lord. We are entering a season of anticipation, trusting that God will continue to lead, guide, and bless us as His people.
As I think about the year ahead, I am reminded of the words from Philippians 3:13-14:
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." (NIV)
This passage encourages us to leave behind past struggles and victories and to focus on the future that God has set before us. We have much to look forward to as we pursue His calling together in 2025.
Looking Back
As we reflect on the past year, we can praise God for His incredible faithfulness. We saw lives transformed, prayers answered, and ministries flourish. From our Sunday services to our community outreach events, God has been at work in powerful ways. Let’s celebrate all that He has done in and through us, and be grateful for the opportunities we've had to serve and grow as a congregation.
Looking Ahead
In 2025, we are excited to continue our journey of discipleship, outreach, and community. Our vision for this year is to be a church that not only grows in faith but also impacts the lives of those around us. We will focus on strengthening our relationships with each other and reaching out to our neighbors with the love of Christ.
We will also be rolling out some new initiatives that we hope will engage every member of our church family:
A Word of Encouragement
January often brings new resolutions and goals. While it's good to set personal intentions, remember that our ultimate goal is to grow in Christ and make His name known. May this year be marked by a deeper intimacy with God, greater service to one another, and a renewed commitment to the mission He has given us.
Let us begin this year with hearts full of gratitude for what God has done and anticipation for what He will continue to do in us and through us. I am grateful for each of you, and I look forward to all that we will experience together in 2025.
May God bless you and your family with His peace, joy, and abundant grace in this new year.

- Prayer Focus: We will dedicate time throughout the year to focus on prayer and fasting as we seek God’s will for our lives and church.
