From the Pastor's desk:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Grace and peace to you this beautiful month of May!

As spring unfolds around us, I’m reminded of the words from Isaiah 43:19:
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” God is always at work, bringing new life and fresh purpose—even in places we least expect.

May is a season of growth, not only in nature but also in our spiritual lives. As a Free Methodist community, we are called to live out a holiness that transforms—not only our own hearts but the world around us. Holiness, for us, is not about separation from the world, but deeper engagement with it—reflecting Christ’s love, justice, and compassion in everything we do.

This month, I want to challenge each of us to intentionally practice presence. Whether through our small groups, acts of service, or simply showing up for someone in need, let’s be present in ways that reflect the love of Jesus. We’ll also be continuing our teaching series: “After Easter: A Journey to Pentecost” exploring how we can deepen our faith and embrace our calling.

Let’s not forget the gift of community. With Mother’s Day, graduations, and transitions approaching, there are many opportunities to support and celebrate one another. Please keep in prayer those in our congregation who are experiencing change, grief, or uncertainty. Also keep our Wabash conference in your prayers as we meet together at the end of May for our Annual Conference. Let’s be a church that walks with people—not just in the good times, but through the hard ones too.

As always, I’m grateful for each of you. Thank you for your faithfulness, your generosity, and your heart for God’s kingdom. Let’s continue walking in step with the Spirit, trusting that God is indeed doing a new thing—right here among us.

In Christ’s love and service,
Pastor Steven
