Dear Beloved Church Family,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
As the warmth of summer begins to settle in around us, we are reminded of the beauty of new seasons and the opportunity to grow—not only in nature but in grace. John Wesley often spoke of “going on to perfection,” a continual journey of becoming more like Christ in love, thought, and action. June provides space for that kind of reflection and renewal as we engage in both rest and relationship.

This month, we pause to honor Father’s Day, a time to celebrate and give thanks for the fathers and father figures in our lives. In the Wesleyan tradition, we uphold the vital role of family in nurturing holiness. Fathers are often the first spiritual teachers in the home—shaping faith through example, prayer, and presence. As Wesley himself experienced the deep influence of his own parents, especially Susanna Wesley, we recognize the importance of spiritual leadership in the family.

To all the men in our church who reflect the love of our Heavenly Father through their care, guidance, and faithfulness—thank you. Whether you are a biological father, a spiritual father, or someone who mentors and uplifts others—you are making an eternal difference. Your daily faithfulness, even in the small things, is a testimony of God’s grace at work.
This is also a season of transitions—school years ending, plans being made, and opportunities arising to step back and listen for God’s voice. I encourage each of you to remain rooted in the means of grace: prayer, Scripture, worship, and acts of mercy. Summer may shift our schedules, but God’s presence is constant. Let’s stay faithful in the journey of sanctification, seeking not only to believe but to become more fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.

As always, let us also look outward: who in your life needs encouragement, hope, or simply to know they are seen and loved? The Wesleyan way calls us to active love—holiness of heart and life.

May this month bring you renewal, joy, and a deeper sense of God’s calling on your life.

In His matchless grace,
Pastor Steven Bales
